Sportsmanship :
Very important to the image of bowling is sportsmanship. How many times have you been on the approach ready to release your shot when off to the right some jackass decides to kick the ball return and make you think someone has just taken a pot shot at you with an ak 47? needless to say more often than not your ball will go totally off target when this happens, often embarrassing you in front of your team. So knowing how this effects you please don't do it to others. Things like this are for people with emotional problems and have no place on the lanes. Bowling is already stereotyped (with some truth unfortunatly)as a non-sport enjoyed mainly by fat pot bellied drunk trailer trash with no manners. Nothing could be further from the truth. The common argument is that anyone can bowl. I agree I also agree that anyone can Play basketball, baseball, football, hockey, cards or horseshoes, Its the degree of excellence in ability and sportsmanship that seperate the pros and upper level players from the everyday participants in all the above mentioned sports and activities. EG : Try to average 180-200 in a league and you will get a reality check, The same as you would playing one on one against an N.B.A star.
So please think of the image that you project on the lanes and try to get others around you to give thought to it also. It's good for the person as well as the sport, Nobody likes a tempermental,Crybaby,Loadmouthed Idiot.
