Brian's Bowling Tips

The mental game :

After bowling for more than 10 years now I have come to realize that the mental aspect of bowling is every bit as important as proper equipment, style, natural ability and physical health.

If you come to the bowling center with your mind clogged with personal problems eg: bills, wife, job or whatever else that feeds on emotion you can more than likley depend on a subpar night.

The same is true, believe it or not with an excess of so called good emotions. eg : Just hit the lotto, Job promotion, Quit that lame ass job or whatever.

Beleive it or not, Me and a million other bowlers do some of their best bowling when we have a cold or the flu. This is because these conditions often put you in a state of meloncolia where your raw emotions are neutrally balanced and this is the perfect state for concentration in my opinion.

So try to get yourself into a relaxed state 2 - 3 hours before you bowl.
